field studies

The purpose of research on our own farm is not to develop new products, but evaluate and verify manufacturer's research. We also test combinations of products that may produce synergistic effects. Most farmers will test new products, but managing variables, monitoring progress, and recording the data is very time consuming in their already overloaded schedules. We understand this and also evaluate the ease of integration of the products into a larger operation. We take results obtained from our own studies and apply them to our larger operation to become familiar with the management and technologies that must be adopted in a large scale operation. BioWash 100 and BioWash 25 are products that can be easily integrated into existing operations without additional capital outlays for equipment and/or technologies.
The field studies that we conduct
are practical applications of product and technologies in a producer environment. We attempt to control as many variables as possible to isolate the single factor affecting crop yields. However, the one variable that cannot be controlled is the weather. With that in mind let’s compare 2011 and 2012 to see what can be gleaned from the results.
When you compare the crop years 2011 and 2012 divergence from the normal is an understatement. While both years were dry, timely rains in 2011 gave producers a banner year. With substantial subsoil deficits in the fall of 2011, beneficial rains had to occur in 2012. Unfortunately, this did not happen in most areas. To a practitioner/farmer, back-to-back years of extreme weather conditions were an unparalled opportunity to measure product effectiveness in good growing conditions and also crops under severe stress.
We urge you to look at the field studies and make your own comparisons and judgments.
